LOS ANGELES AND PAU, FRANCE, April 7, 2026 - Parsimoni, a Satellites 2.0 company and developer of SpaceOS, a secure-by-design operating system for satellite payloads and software-defined satellites, and Denver-based Necara Solutions, a software engineering firm and developer of the high-performance Osteo Data Processing Engine (Osteo DPE™), today announced the signing of an agreement to pursue a strategic collaboration enabling Osteo integration within the SpaceOS operating system environment.
The collaboration will integrate Osteo’s data-processing and workflow orchestration capabilities directly within the SpaceOS architecture, enabling satellite operators to access secure, high-performance onboard processing for next-generation missions.
Advancing Secure, Software-Defined Satellite Infrastructure
SpaceOS is a hardware-agnostic, application-ready operating system designed to support modern satellite missions and power the Parsimoni App Store for Satellites. Osteo DPE™ is a modular data-processing platform built to ingest, transform, and orchestrate high-volume data streams across complex systems.
Together, the companies will enable:
“This collaboration advances our vision for SpaceOS as the foundation for software-defined satellites,” said Miklos Tomka, CEO, Parsimoni. “By enabling Osteo workflows to operate natively within SpaceOS, we’re expanding the platform’s ability to support advanced applications and orchestrate mission workflows more seamlessly to drive greater agility for satellite operations.”
Dana (Dirv) Irvin, President/CTO, Necara Solutions, said, “Data processing in space has historically been fragmented and slow. With Osteo, satellite operators can unify data across multiple sources and formats so decisions can be made in real time. Integrating Osteo within SpaceOS brings that processing capability directly onboard so that operators can have faster and more secure mission performance.”
Parsimoni is a French-American (with offices in Los Angeles and Pau) software innovator focused on developing SpaceOS—the world’s first unikernel-based satellite operating system. Designed with security at its core (Zero Trust, post-quantum cryptography, CCSDS SDLS, and formal verification), SpaceOS is purpose-built for shared payloads and software-defined satellites. It also powers Parsimoni’s hardware-agnostic in-orbit App Store.
After successfully validating SpaceOS in collaboration with leading partners—including Rocket Lab, NASA JPL, Thales Alenia Space, Airbus, OHB, and the European Space Agency (ESA)—Parsimoni is now excited to explore new opportunities for value creation in partnership with Necara Solutions.
